Volunteers
Join the Roses in the Heart of Portland Parade community and help to bring smiles and community spirit to East Portland communities. Volunteers will help set up parade grounds, assist marchers and entries find their spot in line up, award rose trophies, flag crosswalks, and keep parade route safe by monitoring cross street traffic.
The Parade starts at 9:30 AM on Saturday, April 25, 2026, so volunteers help set up at 6:30 AM. Parade traffic minders start traffic monitoring by 8:00 AM.
East Portland neighbors and friends can volunteer at a location of their choice if desired. We need a lot of friendly faces to secure the parade route.

Parade Planning
Committee members organize, schedule and coordinate many parts of the parade including Parade Entry recruitment, Promotions, Operations, Volunteer and other activities.
Activators
Set up tents, tables & chairs, flagging and check-in support.
Parade Traffic Minders
Route safety crew
All volunteers receive a comemorative t-shirt, coffee and donuts at check in, access to parade festivities, and much love and appreciation from the community.
